I was referring to the US currency reserves..they are still mainly in gold bullion...not to ignore the fact that military might is a factor..but it is a little hard to maintain the purchasing power or your fiat currency when the citizens think you will shoot them for not using it. What are you suggesting? That the US is so strong militarilly that we can demand that all our trading partners accept an unlimited amount of our fiat currency in exchange for their labor and production regardless of how much or it we over print? I don't think that will work forever.
