Can you get a photo of this, Justin. I would be very interested. A lot of different kinds of beetles do what you're describing.. including members of the Lady Beetle family. If I could see a few examples of the bugs, I could probably figure out what they are without too much trouble. Sounds fascinating. As you can probably guess, if it were me, I'd be right out there with my cameras and camcorder shooting some photos and video footage. (o:
