Dennis, Gold is hated by the mainstream. Someone on another thread was saying CNBC or one of those had a piece on buying gold !! In any event, I see speculating on gold as effectively being net short the market. I suppose I should have held my nose and bought last summer too, but I didn't, but I'm not losing money either (mainly out of the market for some time now and waiting except for a trade now and then.)
