IMO the extremely positive market response to Barrick in recent weeks following the Peruvian discovery is the realisation that the company will be adding to reserves, probably in a substantial way, through internal growth. And the hedging programme has given it the balance sheet resources to expand in a big way now. As I've said before insider selling especially where optioned shares are involved is a red herring in light of tax rules which I don't suppose I need to go into yet again.
