if the POG falls into any kind of a range - we'll get killed anyway
Not sure what you mean here Frank. If it falls into a range, but is still on the top step, the puppies may advance during the ranging due to the cycling amongst the PMs and the various underlying equities. They may also fall some, but either way patience and a watchful eye during these times will keep you protected. If the puppies fall while the POG is ranging, we have exit strategies. If the majors start to drop first or at the same time, I'll short AEM and NEM with my margin while closing my open positions. If I can be out within 20%, (and I think I can do much better) well that's 60% of what I started with 13 months ago, but I would still be up 140%.
Perhaps, it's because this sector is what I've played most, or perhaps it's more a trading style I picked up from Loeb, but my hedging and exit strategies are within the sector I play.
I haven't checked NT, comin' up on the tape, ....lotta M's...5.20 down .25. Noticed GBU has made a run, resistance at 4.60, but it's on the "TSX Comp". Did you hold overnight? When I read this I thought of Peter's little foray last week. Anyway, I don't want this to sound critical of you traders. My observation of all things NT, while I never owned it or followed it (except everyone has in price since it's peak
the sellers are few and far between
But the buyers are legion. Of course the sellers like Roth and funds trying to liquidate it have lots for the buyers and will be selling to them at all prices for a long time.
Hoping the water was only nose deep if you plunged in head first and the pranhas only take a little of your hair.<GG>

Bob
