Looking at the production figures and balance sheet, Barrick's assimilation of Homestake is proceeding well. They are cleaning up the poor hedges that Homestake had in place as well as their own out of the money hedges, mothballing mines with high costs, adjusting the hedging programs to reflect the modest uptick in the POG, and proceeding with plans to bring new low cost resources into production.

The oft predicted economic destruction of the evil hedger Barrick by the rabid gold bug faction, seems to be delayed for another quarter (ggggggggggggggggg)

The market is starting to realize that Barrick will continue to grow revenues and profits in the near future.
