Re: Timing ALYD

[To all]

The CEO, Bob Gruder, and the VP/Investor Relations guy, Tom Dudchik, have been in Europe this week. Since I know these guys have to sign off on press releases, and since Tom would no doubt want to be around to receive calls about the press release, I figured this might be a good week for the stock to take a breather and I could advise some people I know to accumulate. I even thought it might be worth a gamble selling early in the week and buying back lower.

WRONG!

Certainly there are some really good Y2K tool companies out there and they'll get their fair share of the pie. But no company to my knowledge has set up a virtual Y2K factory where the code comes in broken and leaves fixed....
-- No phone support for customers too lazy to read the manual,
-- No threats of lawsuits because a customer made an error and blamed it on the software,
-- No need to send out (inevitable) bug fixes which may lead to bad press,
-- No slashing your tool's price to compete with other tools.

Yes, I'd venture to say this approach does NOT appeal to the majority of companies out there. But ALYD's not trying to appeal to the majority of companies, just the Fortune 500 (here and abroad)-- the ones with hundreds of millions of lines of code each. I think the recent contracts attest to how well their business plan is working.

And the best part is, most of the investment community (i.e. the funds) can only watch and wait for their turn-- to lock in our profits.
