Gottfried and threaders, following is the last 7 weeks of DW Market and sector bull percentages that I track on a spread sheet. By eyeballing the the percentages using the bell shaped curve the market and all sectors appear to be moving down. By comparing the sectors you can see what sectors are moving. The technology sectors as we know them are the ones below the 30 percentile and as Dorsey Wright would say, "In the oversold area while those sector above the 70% area are in the overbought area. DW suggest in his newsletter not to buy into those sectors above the 50 percentile. The pendulumn appears to be moving downward as the selloff of the overbought sectors move down on the statistical bell shaped curve. All of us know that the mean is 50% for each sector and the bell shaped curve of all sectors. You will note that the sectors and market appears to have started moving downward on April 2 The above are my opinions and the below data which I have reviewed from the Dorsey Wright site, IBD and SEMI sites.
