It may appear to you any way you like. And if you notice I haven't been back, now that I know what the rules might or might not be- although not for sure, of course.
What I was REALLY complaining about was Jewel's characterizing my posting to him as harassment- but you probably missed that. That was the issue. It wasn't really about you or your rules.
But since you bring up your rules you've revised the thread 13 times at the time of my delightful conversation with jewel your thread "rules" were:

A political free-for-all with a few rules:
Arguments, logic (nods to Steven Rogers and Neocon), reason (nods to kholt), articles, bombast, are permitted. Even the name calling that is such a trademark of the unmoderated threads. "Demolib pinhead" (nods to JLA) is specifically allowed. "Parafascist pinhead" for the use of those on the left.
Both sides of the aisle, the center (is there such a thing?) and the unclassifiable are all welcome.
Home grounds for liberals: The Left Wing Porch Subject 50362
Home grounds for conservatives: Right Wing Extremist Thread Subject 50545
The rules of engagement: It is not the intent of the moderator to favor or discriminate against anyone because of their political leanings. However, certain objectionable behaviors will result in banning if the moderator so decides. I may not be able to say what those behaviors are, but I'll know them when I see them. So don't be an extreme asshole. The moderator will be the final arbiter of extreme assholery.
I have never had a policy. I have simply tried to do what seemed best each day, as each day came. -- Abe Lincoln --

I've no idea what you think your rules were at the time, or what they actually were, if they actually were anything- I really haven't. Similarly I've no idea what they are now. Nor do I care anymore, but it is rather silly to tell someone they have no grounds for complaint for violating rules that aren't stated. You can of course believe that, but I can't join you in that belief. I can't stomach a thread that claims to have rules but really doesn't. It's just the way I am. It would be better if you simply said it was going to be arbitrary and capricious. More honest than a pretence of rules. IMO |
