I'm conflicted on that one. It is definately a Good Thing to lash Russia firmly to the West. My misgiving is that Russia will "hijack" Europe, and the United States would face a nightmare scenario - a power or collection of powers that dominate the manpower and resources of Eurasia.

I would feel much better about it if Europe and Russia more consistently shared our principles instead of leaning toward Oriental Despotism of the personal sort or embodied in the State.
