Fire Breaks Out at Church of Nativity

Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity was on fire early Thursday during a fierce exchange of gunfire between Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen holed up inside.

Flames leaped out of three rooms at the compound. Exchanges of gunfire could be heard outside, though it was not clear what set it off. Israeli soldiers lit up the sky with flares and threw stun grenades and smoke bombs.

As if it wasn't bad enough that all of Islam hates them, now
there are going to be a lot of upset Christians.

On a different religious note... I begin to wonder at what
point has man's own beliefs taken control of and destroyed
what started out as a good intention...

If there's some supreme being that over sees all of us,
does he want us to kill those that don't worship every word
that someone else puts into his mouth?

Each major religion sort of says that there is one God.
If so then why is the world acting as if there are three or
four Gods that hate each other?

Sometimes I begin to wonder how much good is coming from
organized religion? Seems to divide more than bring people
together (in a worldly sense).

How many religions were created just so the poorer people
could feel good about themselves? or give them a reason to
be good people?

I'm not knocking religion. I see the goodness that it does
all over the world. It helps billions of people.
I'm just wondering how much of it has changed in it's
interpretation over the years and has been the cause for
as much war as peace?

God Help Us.

Help us all to see the bigger picture...
