I appreciate your frustration
What I am trying to do here is gather insights as to when, why, and how stockbrokers act. If I know their motivation I might be able to put their proposals into clearer perspective. I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I believe brokers have some good info, and I'm trying to find a way to extract it without getting caught up in their agenda. Probably naive on my part, but I guess it's just my way of learning.
I've had several very good recommendations from my broker, but on the other hand he has not warned me about disasters or even suggested that I think about getting out if the stock is one that his employer is promoting. If I realize this conflict of interest, I can than be much more watchful of a downturn and realize that no warning will come from him.
I hope that made some sense. I rammble quite badly
Please keep adding any thoughts.
