To think that a banker's community can generate any question that Jerry could not answer is incredibly stupid. The process you saw is purely political: of course, those "technical question" are usually concerned with business-sensitive issues. By redirecting the question to his peers, he buys them and himself the necessary moments to formulate a politically correct well-rounded answer. - Ali
