I've found that capitalists are not a homogeneous group of people, as some tend to favor an unhampered free market and others want as much government privilege as they can get their hands on. The unhampered free market doesn't happen without unrestrained liberty, and I don't see that coming to China anytime soon. That means it's still about power--who controls the reins of the state and for whose benefit. Under those circumstances, history demonstrates that the free market, or what's left of it, takes it in the chops while the rulers divide up the spoils. If there's any freedom of movement, capital and people will leave for a more hospitable environment.
