Dan I completely agree.

It is financial and selective discrimination because the cash account doesn't pay them interest. Imagine, your cash is no good here, you must pay to play.

Since the stocks are in street name I don't see any problem with same day settlement. And it's up to 3 days settlement not a mandatory 3 days. If both customers agree, you can settle same day and that is easily possible because the stocks are in street name.

The firm could easily state that stocks in street name maybe subject to same day settlement.
