The Bush plan from Day One to establish military and financial control over world oil, using the US military, and stirring up trouble where necessary. I don't buy the idea that this is all a surprise.

If it was, the simple solution is to cut petrodollars and financial aid from Saudi and the ME, and terrorism would suddenly be unpopular.

There's no percentage in that, tho', if you're an oil man.
