JT ... weather weather weather those three factors are bothering me in making a selection right now .. the ability for the horse folks to pick the post position as their horse is drawn from the remaining positions has revealed (to me, at any rate) a tremendous fear of the following a) inside 1-4 b) outside 18-20 find it strange that the 12 hole was not selected until the thirteenth pick, with it and the 5 and 6 being left out until half the field had chosen .... this shows me that avoid a) and b) ... just leave em out and it doesn't matter what the odds or who the horse Shug chose 16 as the fifth pick because he didn't want inside the 8 hole ( he really wanted to run from 8-11) the bottom half of the picks were 1-2-3-4-5-6-12-18-19-20 but NOT in that order verrrrrry interesting back to the weather ... my split times forecast for a FAST track (which I don't think it will be) are/were 22.75 46.25 110.75 135.75 201.25 while the track could be classified fast the rain HAS an effect so, I'll have to see what the "real times" from earlier in the day races show me on Derby day ...
