Patricia, Yahoo e-mail is quite effective in moving spam to the bulk mail folder. Hotmail does that too, online, but I don't know what happens when you receive it via OE.

You could try to set up message filters in OE. I did and they have reduced spam, but not eliminated it. My filters check for words and phrases in header and body and delete the message from the server if the words are present.
