As long as the long distance sector is getting hammered a lot of this stuff is going to be down. I've been watching Worldcom and the others pretty closely and the deck chairs are getting reshuffled pretty fast now. It's obvious that we will start having some real consolidation in this area and some of these companies will be bought out or merged by the stronger players.

We are having a good retest of the Sept lows and I'm beginning to see some values here going forward. Some of the techs are becoming bargains, especially in the speciality chip area and some networking. Even wireless is starting to look attractive. This is predicated on the future. We know there will be more of this as the world continues to get "connected".

Cisco is becoming attractive at these levels as a long term play again but your correct that the chart doesn't look good short term . $11 is still possible and looks to be a good entry point.

I got a kick out of the China story posted earlier.

Wireless is putting pressure on some of the long distance companies. I know a few friends who have gotten rid of their hardline home phones and gone exclusively wireless (cellphones).

Heck my main phone is my cellphone! I hardly use my hardline phone anymore!
