Ya, I get the feeling that's the sound you hear when we differ on an issue........ apparently the buzzing sound blocks out all facts, reason & logic that is in conflict with your baseless POV's.
I just don't understand how folks can so blindly ignore irrefutable facts while stubbornly clinging to a baseless POV........ followed by attempts at revising history, claiming they said something else, or they meant something else or some lame BS story, even when their own words clearly prove otherwise....... another goodie is when that fails, they somehow feel compelled to berate, belittle & personally attack those who disagree with their faulty perceptions of reality....... and that person has the gall to use fact, reason & logic to do so......
Ya, there's a long list of things folks will do to cling to their faulty, unsupportable perceptions........... yup, they will try just about every trick in the book rather than admit they might be wrong.
I remember in grammar school thinking that this was genuinely childish behavior. How could these people stubbornly insist they are right when the facts scream otherwise??
Sadly, in almost every most fraud case we prosecuted in my career as a federal auditor, the scumbags fraudsters also tried these same tactics........ I found the bashers & hypsters on the Yahoo threads did the same thing too....... and currently I'm aware of certain folks on SI who have this same affliction.
Funny how the tactics have always been consistently the same...... and the folks I have disagreed with have always insisted they were right & I was a fool, an idiot, a sicko, etc............ except one place.......... The Judge always sided with the facts...... not someone's clearly flawed perception of them. At least I know I haven't always been wrong when confronted with these situations.
I know, you still think I'm a sicko with a problem. You ain't alone. I know a bunch of folks who think the same things about me as you do. You see, I don't back down when I believe the facts support my POV. For some reason that tends to piss off a lot of people.
