If you accept Petz's estimates with your modifications it would seem to indicate that Intel would have better yields of "AMD sized die" (if Intel made them) then AMD but nowhere near 50% better. And if you are talking yield percentages rather then defect density it would seem that you shouldn't include his adjustment to get "AMD sized die" figures.

Can you explain what you are referring to? The ~90 GDPW was the yield number for Athlon that AMD stated in their recent CC. The 50% better yield (than AMD) was a statement made by Intel, not me. I never comment on Intel's yields.
