None of which are particularly more relevant to Java than to any other executable.

Those features are designed to optimize the processor's operations. Java (and anything else) will run more efficiently on a more optimized processor than a less optimized one. But there's no unique Java/IA64 connection.

Like I said, just a small software company, trying to give the impression that they've got some sort of special arrangement with a big company that everybody has heard of. Nothing new in that. It's what press releases are for. I recall one small software company I worked for where we ALWAYS tried to fit MSFT, ORCL or SEBL into each of our press releases. We knew that would cause it to pop up on people's screens, where it wouldn't otherwise.

I wouldn't make much of this.
