I wonder how much CSCO has grown since its IPO? Quite a lot I suspect.

The bears have a point. But, I think they are making some negative assumptions about the economy and tech spending that seem unrealistic to me, to send the NAZ to sub 1000 levels. Even though it seems unlikely in the current environment, I'm confident that tech spending will increase by next year or 2004 by the latest. Many computers will become outdated between now and 2004 and projects that were put off in recent years will have to be completed. The bear's scenario seems to paint a picture in which tech spending and earnings drop significantly from current levels and cause the tech stocks to fall as well. I don't buy it. If the NAZ could hold just under 1400 post 9/11 and rally back to 2000+ in such a negative environment, I don't see it going back below that level again unless things get really bad like a bioterrorism attack and economic meltdown.
