Put 2 and 2 together. IRSN has a long history of producing devices for military applications which never caught on. Most were not accepted, not because they were not good enough, but because of the defense establishment is slow to change and recognizing Value & efficiency has never been a hallmark of this storied establishment.
IRSN is now a story of Application and opportunity aligned in time.
Now, Post 911, we have new challenges and IRSN has novel components designed to scale able applications. For instance, they make semi conductor gyros. These key components will be integrated with other technology to make dumb gravity bombs, very smart. Their accuracy will be akin to Cruise missle, without the range,............or the cost. Huge market for all branches of service Near term.
At no time in the past 20 years has the military needed to upgrade itself, with tools of a new kind. Guess what, ? All the standby companies have only the same tired old solutions and much higher prices. The Taxpayer needs to thank Mr Rumsfield for his efforts to get value for money spent.
It's the same as the broader market where small caps are doing so well, in an economy like ours, there is one rule, an Applications time must come, for graduation to take place. Small caps like IRSN, have toiled in the background for a long time, why would anyone be surprised, that eventually they'd be ready for prime time? It's really the key story for this year.
Their memory and electronics stacking technology allows for significant stuffing of small spaces with powerful electronics, that would normally take up far more space.
Those technologies will go readily into drones & a wide variety and microsatellites. WWW.space.com for better descriptions.
More Importantly, this 20 year old company will probably be taken out by a suiter who wishes to augment their capability across these lines of opportunity. My guess is they'll be gone in six months or less.
It's all in the research, if you care to look.
You wont find the future, looking into the past. This is likely a novel oportunity, where time and talent meet a set of needs head on. |
