Let's drop into the absurdity of trying to assign political credit for the economic boom of the '90's. Clinton was not responsible. Neither were Reagan and Bush 1.

Politicians would like us to believe that all upward economic cycles are caused by them and all downward cycles are caused by their opponents. Like most things that politicians would like us to believe, this is a load of bollocks. There are other factors far more significant than political intervention.
