EVERYBODY OUT THERE - ru4.com SPY COOKIE!

IF THIS COOKIE IS IN YOUR COMPUTER "GET IT OUT"!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU ARE BEING SPYED ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found this cookie and traced it back to a company in New York that says they install cookies called "Creative Optimization" A process identifies the share characterisitics of viewers grouping similar viewers into clusters. This system then delivers a relevant ad to each viewer. IT is a marketing cookie sold to the likes of Lycos/eBay, Hotwire, MyFamily, Purina, Get Music, Critical Mass, TheSreet.com and others. IF YOU HIT ANY OF THOSE SITES INCLUDING THAT "RED BULL" ON LYCOS THIS COOKIE WILL BE PLANTED IN YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!! IN PART IT LIKE BEING ON CANDID CAMERA. "EVERY SINGLE AD YOU HIT, OR SITE YOU HIT IS RECORDED AND YOU ARE CLUSTERED INTO A CHANGING AUDIENCE, HISTORICAL RESPONSE, AND WHAT YOU "LOVE" TO FOLLOW. SO FAR THIS THING IS DESIGNED FOR ADVERTISING EFFICIENCY BUT THE REAL PURPOSE IS INSIDIOUS."!!!!! JUST A WARNINGYES. THERE ARE OTHERS BUT THIS ONE STANDS OUT LIKE
A FESTERING SORE.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR COMPUTERS AND REMOVE THIS COOKIE AS OFTEN AS THEY PUT IT BACK IN!!

ru4.com KILL IT FAST!!!!!!!!!!

to find ru4.com on your hard drive

If you use Windows,

Go to Start,
Find
Files or Folders

In the Search dialog box,
"Containing text", type in ru4.com

Click on Browse and search for Cookies folder
In Windows 95/98, The folder should be at:
C:\Windows\Cookies

If the search returns a file ru4.com, highlight it and delete it.

If you use Netscape, you can try editing the Netscape File cookies.txt, but I don't usually edit that file, I just delete is occasionally. Just remember deleting cookies.txt may delete the automatic logon on sites you use, including Raging Bull.

Merry
