O.k. genius, who do think sets the margin requirements? Sit down for this one... It's called the FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD... Thus, the term FED CALL. It's a clearing firm and B/D term (call Pershing, the largest clearing firm in the world, they may take simpathy on you and explain), but as you are a well educated "broker" (but not a "consultant", which by the way is what most wirehouse guys are refering to themselves to as these days. Especially in the face of the growing independent competition) I'm sure you knew that... Should I go ahead and define what an independent is for you? Why am I thinking that you "talk" like you know a lot more about the securities industry than you do...? Yes, my SI profile is very vague, but it must be that way. I work in the securities industry. Ever heard of the NASD...? Are you now going to bully me off this thread? I can almost hear your response now...
