I have had $10-12 as my buy target for AMAT for about a year now. 2.5 to 3.5 times sales is a reasonable trough valuation. I may be wrong, and it may really be different this time. But the alternative view is that the trough (in stock prices) simply hasn't happened yet. Even though the trough in business may have happened.

IMO, the late lamented bubble is still distorting the down-cycle, and the leftover froth (in stock prices) needs to be thoroughly purged before a real up-cycle can begin.

And yes, I realize I'm a little to the bearish side of average here, LOL.
