The investing public has been conditioned by mass resignations at telco companies, who then either went silent or lied leading up to bankruptcy. It looks from the action of the last two days that this reaction has hit SUNW full bore.

In light of the last 8 - 10 months, it is entirely logical to speculate that McNealy will drop a bomb within a few weeks. And we are not in a position to do more than hope otherwise.

I would suggest to McNealy that he do something significant to dispel the expectations of bad news to come. But I won't, because I doubt if anyone has to tell him. The company plans a 'mid-quarter' report later this month. If McNealy remains silent until then, he had better have some extremely good things to announce on that date, because nothing minor will help the stock a bit...
