Falwell and Robertson have been pro-israel for the longest time. More to do with old testament issues than to their feelings about individual Jews or individual non-evangelical Christians fot that matter.
Hamas has been deeply hurt by israelis. There are many kids who might want to be bombers but without the infrastructure and weapons and with roadblocks and fences everywhere it is much harder to do. Arafat owes sharon for wiping out the main competition. What happened on the west bank Jerome, had to happen. NO country can take those blows and not react. What would the US do if suicide bombers from mexico were attacking every day. It also would not be pretty. The israeli millitary if nothing else brought a sense of reality back to palestinians who after the lebanon withdrawl and the apparent successes of infitada 2 were living in a dream world thinking that the jews would just pack up and leave all of israel. I actually want you to agree with me on the above. If you do, i will give you a rally in the market later today. mike
