I know...everyone says it's ORCL specific. Then you watch all the other companies flailing.....odd that it's still ORCL specific.

Compare to AOL. I know AOL's problems are AOL specific, because I'm in the industry. Other firms have problems, but less so because they are more market oriented and flexible. AOL is known in the industry as the single most inflexible of all media firms.
In a way, I'd prefer that it were company specific. I know with AOL, IF they turn their issues around, they will make a BOATLOAD of cash and give everyone else fits. ORCL doesn't really have issues like that, so it means that they have to rely on the whole industry taking an upturn.
By all accounts, in my company's tech department, we are about to make some heavy purchases of hard/soft ware. It's already a year overdue.
