Gee Ted,
I post my perception of your position against Israel and you disagree with it. Please tell us your position on Israel if I have it wrong.

Steve, it wasn't your perception, it was your bias. BTW why are you conservatives so in support of Israel suddenly? Is it because Sharon also is a conservative, or is it because he wages war in a good way like Bush? With the questionable exception of Nixon, the American conservative has never been Israel's friend until recently........its certainly perplexing this change of heart, and rings a little false.

Nonetheless, its possible to recognize that are two sides to every story......yes, Steve, Albert, Yousef et al, there are two sides to even this story........and that its best to address both sides if you want to make a success of it.

Practicing an exclusively pro Israel stance in a world that is 1/3 Arab/Muslim does not make good sense as evidenced by Bush's change of heart and stronger stance vis a vis Sharon after his recent meeting with the Saudi prince.

I don't expect to get the Arabs to go away with my perspective but rather to work out some sort of peace with them that is lasting and leads to a solid relation, and to start to heal the rift in the Mideast. Its probably cool to talk about knocking heads....after all, we grew up with the Terminator and GI Joe as our heros but the truth is knocking heads doesn't usually deliver lasting peace inspite of claims to the contrary on this thread.

And the truth is the Arabs in fact are not going away anytime soon, and they can either be in our collective face all the time, or can be working with us to make life better. I've made my choice, you make yours.
