RE:So maybe the number should be 20 million? WTF is the difference?

Since you are obviously mathematically challenged, I will tell you. The difference is either 40 MILLION JOBS or a 200% exaggeration. If you're even right in your second guess. You also ought to subtract the number of people put out of work by his new technology. So, for all we know he might have had a net negative effect on the number of jobs. Then, there is the fact that if he hadn't been around, people would probably be working anyway, just on a different computer system.
I don't begrudge the guy his success, he is obviously a master at using the capitalist system and he does a lot of good work(e.g. his vaccinate all kids plan) with his money in a more efficient way than any government enterprise ever would. This discussion(attack on me, really) has really gone overboard. All I did was point out to someone that people rarely amass great wealth from the the fruits of their own labor, it takes other people to be working for you to do that. From that simple, obvious(to me,anyway) concept, I was insulted and attacked by several mental midget right wing nuts. That's it, I will not respond to any more posts on this subject. Have a nice weekend.
