Many writers admit that they 'borrow items' from others. I recall
from 'Lit 101' an interview with a famous writer (the name of whom
I don't remember). When asked, "How do you write such inspiring
thoughts...", he very simply replied, "I steal."

I've noticed the same applies to any
type of writing, from comedy to computer code.

Let's just say I read a lot and I apply it. I shouldn't take
complete credit when it isn't due...but I will continue to
'read a lot'.
