mike, ali wa the greatest, by far. however, not necessarily after he made his comeback. he was still great, but not the greatest. his style was totally different after the 3 year layoff. he fought going backwards and let other fighters punch the heck out of him ala rope-a-dope (he was tough, though!). he held onto fighters all the time. before his layoff, though, he fought even or moving forward and nobody could hit him - liston threw out his shoulder trying to hit ali! ;-)
