re: NasdaqNM: MLTC (Multilink Technologies) - $0.85

The company posted a loss of 0.13, beating expectations for the quarter by 2 cents. However revenue for the next quarter was announced to be half this quarter, around $9m. The stock subsequently tanked and shed 50%. It's now trading below cash value of $1.35 per share and MLTC is virtually debt free.

I won't sell but will be waiting to buy a second chunk to average down. This should be put into perspective since all COMM silicon stocks are down more or less big..

Usually there is a lag of several months from new designs (early 2002) to design wins to shipped revenues... From a technology point of view MLTC is quite attractively positioned. The only thing missing is maybe an NPU and some switching fabric solutions. Maybe that will be one of the next issues to be adressed..
