if there were some justice in these things, the people who blathered on and on about Iraq's involvement in the 9/11 attacks (Woolsey, Mylroie, Safire, practically every neocon on the planet) would pay a significant price in terms of credibility now that their pet theory has been debunked. (Even the supposed meeting of Atta with an Iraqi agent in Prague now seems to have been a case of mistaken identity.)

Yet they haven't, because popular debate has few intellectual standards and they are shameless enough to simply move on to the next topic without comment.

Well, at least the smart ones are. The Weekly Standard, in contrast, just had a major piece trying to argue that foreigners, read Iraq, were behind the anthrax mailings, something that will very likely be debunked for good fairly soon....
