Biotech prospects - Lots of product in phase three and eventually the government flunkies will learn how to evaluate the new technology.
Political pressure is being brought to bear on the FDA and they will have to learn.
Technological changes are coming about with increasing speed. I worked in the industry briefly in the early 80's. You would compare that time to the 60's in the computer industry. Look at how that technology changed in 40 years. With decreasing maturity cycles, biotech is about to become mainstream in an approximate 20 year cycle.
Looming on the horizon? ASCO.
As far as biotech is concerned, I'm like a kid in a candy store that just got a quarter (well maybe it would have to be a five dollar bill today). Too much to choose from and it's the first time I've had any real money to invest.
Current holds are: ARDM, BDAL, BSTI, BTRN, GNLB, IMGN, INCY, MDCO, NEOT, ORCH, RZYM, XOMA.
I traded SEPR and MLNM the last couple of days but let them go as they are too high profile and subject to manipulation. Will wait to get them when the sector is on more solid footing.
If we are at the bottom ( I HOPE :). I am hoping to trade and leverage into a pretty large basket of about 50 or so. Then I'll just go have some fun with the rest of my life. |
