Mike, I agree, except that the circumstances were odd in this case. The one driver had supposedly cut off or done something to the broker. So, the broker nearly caused a wreck forcing the guy off the road. Then he got out of his car and started pounding on the guy's car. The fella pulled a pistol, which he was legally allowed to carry, and punched the broker's ticket.

I don't know who was right and who was wrong. Except that both were probably wrong and the broker is dead. Though he sounds like he certainly overreacted, he probably didn't deserve a third eyeball in his forehead.

The other thing I know is that it probably would not have happened during the bull market. The broker would have been under less pressure, since they all have bullish or bust bets on the market. No hedges at all.
