I have been quite surprised with Intel's performance. They have really succeeded in responding to the AMD threat, but when you think about it, this is not the first time they have done so. P4 is doing exactly what Intel said it would (and few believed). Scaling remarkably well. Plus I don't think I can remember Intel ever being this far ahead of the world in process technology. It ain't talk, the products speak for themselves and AMD's empty .13u shipping docks speak volumes as well. As has been said before, all those R&D dollars are paying off. Just too bad it's in such a down market :-( EP
