Why don't you add instead that AMD will be 300 MHz ahead of Intel if AMD introduces a 2.83 GHz Athlon on Monday?
That has about as much chance of happening as your current fantasy.

AMD's lower manufacturing costs allow it aggressive pricing that lets AMD continue to hold or gain market and revenue share.

That sure helped AMD - and they only LOST $9.200,000 last quarter - while Intel's higher manufacturing costs led them to a $936,000,000 profit.
