Thank God for the Nader voters! The Ross Perot of the left. Perot gave us Clinton as much as Nader gave us Bush. The difference was that Nader knew the effect that his candidacy could have on the election but was too enthralled by his own image to permit his view of the "lesser evil" to win. A big hug and a heartfelt thanks to all Nader voters, especially to those in Florida. You were invaluable. By the way, I'm not a huge fan of W, but I do feel that he's the right man with the right team for the historical moment we're in. No telling how Gore would have responded to 9/11 and its aftermath. Being a part of the Clinton administration would have made things difficult politically for him at a time when unity was necessary.
