A sure sign a short term bottom may be near...(USUALLY!) was spotted today at my local newstand while perusing the headlines and financial pages...

In the past 3 or 4 years that I have paid attention to the magazine cover sentiment indicator, publications showing a roaring bull or talking about how the market has nowhere to go but up or how YOU can make a million in the market this year have signaled a near term top, without fail. There are others on SI who track this indicator also <g>

And bear covers have always led to a good bounce, or short term bottom. So we will see <ggg>

On the other hand, the trashy New York Post has a depressing article on the jobs number with an inset on a potential double dip recession, illustrated with a pic of a girl eating an ice cream cone. LOL...
