It could very well be. However, be forewarned that the internal traders at Cheung Kong are the best in town and they do have a very good reputation on the "pump and dump." Caveat Emptor. Would look to buy on a pull-back, not here.

Mac, my man,

You're absolutely right about their infamous trading acumen. A good forewarning and reminder that these are deal guys. I sense, though, it is more long term and larger in nature than just a trade this time. That's only a hunch, so on any pullback, I would buy a bunch.

Hi guys, I am fortunate in not having to decide whether to buy Hutchison Harbour Ring (hk.715) or to buy Rite-Aid (RAD), because

(a) I had just purchased some RAD on Mac’s gut feel, and

(b) I still have a bunch of Hutchison Harbour Ring, or ex-IGC Asia, or ex-Harbour Ring (let’s check MS Money), HK$ X to be precise, residual holding in dear hk.715, left over from the last party when the listed corporate shell was taken over by Hutchison and Internet Capital Group of the USA (1999).

Checking in my MS Money morgue, I see I also still have some Softbank International (hk.648). Stocks are like girlfriends, one should never depend on one, or be totally out on any, because one simply and just never know what the future holds.

Hikari Tsushin’s HK listed shell was recently injected with a China gas project, and so I am expecting any of the following to happen by and by, assuring me of participation in any of the most likely future Mainland China/HK manias:

Agriculture genome-tech, gold, gas fields, gasoline stations, domestic metal trading, local grain trading, China TV stations, WTOdotCom, GlobalizationSlashNet, or whatever else imaginative folks can dream up.

I sense the HK entrepreneurs’ HP-CPQ printers warming up for business plans.

So, yes, buy, buy now, buy before it is too late, before the next guy buys, and buy with full conviction, max leverage, and squeeze the wallet with the full force that a 3-day constipation can promote (yup, close your eyes, bite your lips, and take a deep breadth), and suckle on the straw of life that a hungry new born can rally. Do we feel it yet?!

I have reverted my CD changer back to Latino and Canto frenzy pop from the slightly too happy Troppo Trini Soca Calypso. We rock, or, at least get ready to. Once more and again, remembering to leave the scene before the investigative types show up. Scotty, beam me up.

Chugs, Jay
