It's not all over yet. There's some bright areas in technology that almost look like potential killer apps. WLAN has some legs left in it.

Noone can bet that the usual killer app will not show up and fuel the next minor wave of consumer/business spending. It might show up in 2004 or 4pm next friday.

Another note is that while noone can figure out why they have to replace all the 600Mhz Celeron/PIIIs, these PCs do not last forever, some will fry if the fan on the heatsink stops, and that can happen from dust or just mechanical wear and tear. As these fans stop working, these PCs will have to be replaced. I am being facetious here.
