I think Clinton was an intellectual President that we had for a long time. His IQ is very high among all the President in recent history. It is easy for some in the press to run him down, The fact that Gore lost by a narrow margin since he distanced himself from Clinton is sufficient proof that Clinton continues to be popular amongst the people, don't you think. It would be futile to cry from rooftops about how bad he is. A Clinton name in New York also flies even if she is from Arkansas. That is a good enough measure of the popularity of the "Clinton" name.
