Bingo. Israel is the best "gated community" money can buy... An exclusive gated resort with 24/7 topnotch security (err... well, that's what the current general manager A. Sharon, put on his sales brochures), with its own airline, military and intelligence apparatus. And, last but not least, a gated community vested with sovereignty --and about 200 nuclear warheads. And the whole scheme is financed by US money... Of course, it's an "action-oriented" resort --not your grandpa's Floridan county. That is to say, regularly, the Israeli population is called upon to fight the Palestinian people in urban/guerilla/asymetric warfare. Then again, if you prefer golf and tennis, Israel is the wrong choice... you'd better go to Hawaii or California <g>
