ELON may soon become the standard protocol for China. One big step toward becomming a gorilla. Personally, I've been loading up while it is cheap. One more thing, there is a huge short interest in the stock.

I have to say, Echelon is one of those shiny pebbles I've never quite gotten. They have something to do with automated houses, right? That's the story I've heard, but the actual scenarios seem a bit more prosaic--meter-reading and the like.

A great deal of short interest in a stock usually isn't a good sign (natch). Shorts aren't always right, but they're usually pretty smart when it comes to ganging up on richly valued stocks (according to Yahoo, ELON's PE is 100) with high aspirations.

China? Do we really think that Echelon's big hit is going to in a country with a per capita income of around $2000? Besides, last time I checked, the one and only Gorilla in China is still... the government.

good luck, but I have a feeling that "loading up [on ELON] while it's cheap" may take on new meaning within the next year or two.
