Yes, you are right. Ultimately the greatest evil
is thinking you have a good government. Democracy
is the most insidious of tyrannies. I think the
best government would me as Uber Bosse with perhaps
you as Sekond in Kammand. I would be fair to
everyone as long as I got paid a lot, had my pick
of good looking women, and didn't get any resistance
to my progressive policies. Supreme penalty for
resistance to righteous government policy would
be banishment to the Arctic Islands or permanent
welfare status.(Casual resistors would wear a
bright orange code number indicating their
criminal category on the front and back of their
resistor-jumpsuits.) The death penalty would be
outlawed as it does not allow proper revenge.
The dead cannot suffer.
No one would be sent to prison as the anxiety
of dealing with a paranoid society cannot be
duplicated in jails, where basically all
responsibility is relieved of the prisoner.
If you want punishment, let them pay taxes and
listen to bosses. A goal would be to make sure
that 10% are banished, 15% of society is in the
resistor class, 25% are in the working class, 25%
are government toadies and 25% are administrators,
lotus eaters or serving maids.
This is much like Canadian society now. Take
Ontario. There are 8 million people. 1 million
work in government. (Lotus eaters, serving maids
and admin), 1 million work for businesses that
paid for government contracts (toadies). Perhaps
1 million work for money losing businesses (working
class), 2.5 million are children or housewives,
and the remainder are sick, old, on assistance or
EI in jail or the military, or Indian reserves.

Working at jobs but unable to make money because
of excessive taxation and government interference

If we brought the wage slave level up to about
2 million it would allow us government lotus
eaters a much better style of effete dominance.
