As for Gore, if you think I admire the man, you're wrong. I wish he'd go away, he's an embarrassing candidate, imo. On the other hand, since he did get more votes than your guy, maybe I should be less embarrassed.

It wasn't even a Quayle quote. It was a Quayle-spoof quote made up by a Republican Representative, Claudine Schneider of Rhode Island!
